Hotel is basically fine, there is a small spa and pool which was busy but otherwise not bad. The location right in the centre of Niederbronn is surprisingly quiet and quite pleasant. We were offered free and convenient parking with ev charge (at domestic voltage) available, at a second hotel of the same chain, a few hundred metres away on foot towards the edge of the historic village centre. We didn't use it however, because the municipal parking is anyway free on Sundays.
The previous guests had been smoking at the window of our room, there was a pile of butts on the window ledge and the smell lingered. The extractor fan in the bathroom was broken. Overall the building could perhaps benefit from modernisation, or at least some more aggressive cleaning and maintenance, and installation of smoke alarms for the non-smoking sections.
The setting of hotel in the village.Pool inside. A bit too warm... maybe emulating the natural spring baths in the village.
The mattress was too soft and sagged. Not good for my back. Why not reserve the parking(s) in front of the Hotel for visitors to drop and load baggage. There also was none paid parkings available opposite the hotel... Not fun with baggage...
it was easy to locate, staff were friendly
the breakfast
Good Location and friendly staff. The room and facilities are a bit dated but clean and good maintained.
The sauna requires a bathing suit, which we did not have so could not use it.I understand it for the pool but was surprised it is needed for the sauna.Breakfast seemed a little bareboones even for France (at least there was sparkling wine).
pool and sauna area
furniture a little bit outdated; doluble bed is very small; no AC.
